#SYAB — Smile, You Are Beautiful

A project celebrating women, their stories, and the beauty in simply being.

This project has lived in my heart since high school. Long before I had a blog, long before I had a platform, I was already hashtagging #SYAB everywhere I went — because I have always believed that every woman deserves to be seen, celebrated, and reminded of her beauty.

SYAB is: a photography and storytelling project where I photograph women from all walks of life — different ages, different backgrounds, different corners of the world — and invite them into an honest conversation. About healing. About self-love. About what it means to be a woman navigating this life. Each woman chooses the questions she wants to answer, and I share her photo alongside her words. If she wants her name attached, it’s there. If she’d rather stay anonymous, that’s just as powerful.
This project was also born out of my deep curiosity about people. Traveling has always been my way of connecting with the world, and SYAB is an extension of that — a way to sit with a stranger, hear her story, and walk away knowing we weren’t so different after all. Because no matter where you’re from, womanhood is a thread that connects us all.

My hope is that when you scroll through this page, you see yourself somewhere. In someone’s words, in someone’s smile, in someone’s story. You are not alone — and you are beautiful.
